## How do you schedule rental showings automatically?

Nolan checks your team’s Google or Outlook calendars, offers renters open times within your showing hours and books the visit with the agent who is free. The showing goes on that agent’s calendar and the renter gets a confirmation by text. Your other appointments block those times.

Updated October 27, 2026

## What it does

- **Reads your calendars**: Google Calendar or Outlook, for every agent on your team.
- **Keeps to your hours**: Only times inside the showing hours you choose. Other appointments block them.
- **Picks the right agent**: Books with the agent who is free at that time.
- **Confirms the visit**: The renter gets the time, the address and who will meet them.

## How does it work?

1. **Connect your calendars**: Each agent connects Google Calendar or Outlook.
2. **Set showing hours**: Which days and times your units can be shown.
3. **Showings get booked**: On calls, texts, chats and emails, straight onto the right calendar.

## An example, start to finish Booking with two agents

1. Wednesday, 7:40 p.m. Maya asks to see 4B. Nolan checks both agents’ calendars.
2. 7:40 p.m. Marc is busy Thursday evening; Ana is free at 6:30. Nolan offers three times.
3. 7:42 p.m. Maya picks Thursday at 6:30. It goes on Ana’s calendar and Maya gets the address and Ana’s name.
4. Wednesday, 6:30 p.m. Maya gets a reminder and confirms.

## What your team sees

Every showing on the agent’s own calendar, with the renter’s answers attached.

- **On the agent’s calendar**: Google Calendar or Outlook, nothing new to check.
- **The renter’s answers**: Move-in date and pets, on the event.
- **Every showing in one list**: By day or week, to move, cancel or mark attended.

## At a glance

| Detail | Nolan |
| --- | --- |
| Calendars | Google Calendar or Outlook |
| Times offered | Only inside your showing hours; other appointments block them |
| Agents | Books whoever is free |
| Channels | Calls, texts, chats and emails |
| Renter gets | Time, address and agent by text, then a reminder |
| Your team sees | The showing on the agent’s own calendar, with the renter’s answers |

## Who it’s for

- Teams that schedule showings by back-and-forth texts
- Companies with several agents showing units
- Landlords who show units around a day job

## What it doesn’t do

- It doesn’t book outside the showing hours you set.
- It doesn’t run self-guided tours or hand out lockbox codes.
- It doesn’t move your other appointments.

## Other ways to do it

| Option | How it works | The catch |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Back-and-forth messages | Agree on a time over several texts or calls. | A day or more to book, and renters drop off in between. |
| A self-booking link | Send renters a scheduling page. | Doesn’t know the unit or answer questions, and only books one calendar. |
| Nolan | Offers real open times in the conversation and books the free agent. | Calendars need to be kept up to date. |
