Terms of service

Last updated October 15, 2026

These terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Palisade Technologies inc., which operates Nolan (“Nolan”, “we”, “us”). They apply when you create an account, use Nolan or let it answer renters for you.

“You” means the business that holds the account, and everyone it invites to it. If you accept these terms for a business, you confirm that you can bind it. Nolan is for businesses that rent out homes, not for personal or household use.

What Nolan does

Nolan lets an AI agent answer renters for you on the channels you turn on, and keeps every conversation in an inbox and pipeline your team works from.

Some features are offered first to a limited number of customers, and may change, pause or stop. A feature is part of the service once it is available in your account.

Your account

Give us accurate information and keep it current. Keep your sign-in secure, and tell us right away at [email protected] if you think someone else used it. You are responsible for everything done in your account, including by the people you invite.

Your messages are your responsibility

You are the sender. Every call, text, email, chat and social media message sent from your account, whether you, your team or Nolan wrote it, is sent on your behalf and in your name. Nolan provides the tools. It does not decide whom you contact, what you tell them or what you offer them.

You are responsible for: having the consent the law requires before anyone is called, texted or emailed, and honoring every request to stop; the registration details you give for your phone numbers and the messages sent under them; the listings, prices, availability, rules and other information you give us or Nolan, and keeping them current; the instructions and settings you choose for Nolan; every message you or your team write, edit or approve; and your own notices to renters, including your privacy notice and any notice your jurisdiction requires before a call is recorded or transcribed.

Depending on where you and your renters are, the laws that apply include the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and the FCC’s rules, under which an AI voice counts as an artificial voice; state telemarketing, texting and call-recording laws; the CAN-SPAM Act; the Fair Housing Act and state and local fair housing laws; state privacy laws; and the rules of carriers (including 10DLC registration), Meta and the other platforms you connect. Our tools can help, for example by handling STOP replies and checking wording for discrimination, but they do not make your messages lawful, and we do not give legal advice.

We are not responsible for the content of your messages, for whom you send them to, or for the consequences of sending them, including fines, penalties, carrier filtering, blocked numbers, platform suspensions, and claims by renters, regulators or anyone else.

Nolan is AI, and AI makes mistakes

Nolan’s replies are generated by AI models, including Google’s Gemini. They can be wrong, incomplete, out of date or inappropriate, even when they sound confident. Nolan can misunderstand a renter, mishear a call, give the wrong price, availability or address, book a showing at the wrong time or miss one, answer in the wrong language, or say something you would not have said.

Nolan works from what you give it. If your listings or instructions are wrong or out of date, its answers will be too.

Review what Nolan says. Check your conversations and showings regularly, correct mistakes with the renter directly, and keep a person available for anything that matters. Nolan does not decide who rents a home: you do. Do not rely on Nolan for legal, financial or screening decisions.

Our checks, including the ones that look for discriminatory wording, lower the risk of a bad reply. They do not remove it.

By using Nolan, you accept that AI-generated replies will sometimes be wrong. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any loss caused by a reply Nolan gave, a showing it booked or missed, or anyone’s reliance on what it said.

What you may not do

Do not use Nolan to: discriminate against renters, or tell Nolan to; contact people who have not agreed to hear from you, or use bought or rented contact lists; mislead renters, including by telling Nolan to deny that it is an AI when asked; collect payment card numbers, Social Security numbers, health information or passwords through conversations; break the law or the rules of a carrier or platform you connect; or copy, resell, reverse engineer, scrape, overload or probe the security of Nolan without our written permission.

Fees

Fees are those on our pricing page, or those we agree to in writing. Monthly plans renew each month and annual plans each year until you cancel. You can cancel online at any time. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for, and fees already paid are not refunded, except where the law requires it.

Usage beyond your plan, such as extra minutes or extra phone numbers, and carrier or registration fees are billed as our pricing page shows. Prices exclude taxes. If a payment fails, we may suspend the service after telling you.

We may change our prices by telling you at least 30 days before the change, which then applies from your next renewal. A price we have promised to hold, such as a launch rate lock, stays as promised.

Your data

You own the information you and your renters bring to Nolan. You let us use it to run, secure and support the service for you, as our data processing agreement describes, and you confirm that you have the right to give it to us.

For renters’ personal information, you decide why it is collected and how it is used, and we handle it on your behalf as your service provider. Our privacy notice describes how we handle information about you and the visitors to our site.

You can export your data while your account is open. When your account closes, we delete your data as our data processing agreement describes, except what the law requires us to keep.

Other companies’ services

Nolan relies on other companies, such as phone carriers, Twilio, Google, Meta, Microsoft, Stripe and the property management software you connect. Their own terms apply to you when you connect them. We do not control them and are not responsible for their outages, changes, rules or decisions, such as a carrier filtering texts or Meta limiting a Page.

Our service and our rights

We own Nolan and everything we build for them, other than your data. You may use Nolan for your business while your account is in good standing. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.

We may change, add or remove features. If a change takes away something important that you pay for, we will tell you in advance where we reasonably can.

Availability

We work to keep Nolan running, but we do not promise that it will always be available, fast or free of errors. Calls, texts and messages can be delayed, dropped or not delivered. Keep another way for renters to reach you.

No warranties

Nolan is provided as is and as available. As far as the law allows, we make no promise, express or implied, that it will be accurate, uninterrupted or fit for a particular purpose, or that using it will meet any legal requirement that applies to you.

Limits on our liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost rent, vacancies, lost leads, lost profits, lost data or harm to your reputation, even if we were told it could happen.

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for fines, penalties, claims or losses that arise from your messages, your content, your settings, or a reply Nolan gave on your behalf.

As far as the law allows, our total liability for all claims relating to Nolan is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit, such as liability for fraud or willful misconduct.

Your indemnity

You will defend us and compensate us for claims, fines, penalties and reasonable costs, including legal fees, brought by renters, regulators, carriers, platforms or anyone else, that arise from your messages, your content, your settings, your use of Nolan, or your breach of these terms or the law.

Suspending or closing an account

You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close it if you breach these terms, if your use puts renters, us, a carrier or a platform at risk, or if the law, a carrier or a platform requires it. We will tell you first unless the risk is urgent.

If your account is closed or stops being paid, we keep the phone numbers we provided to you for 30 days after we first email you about it. After that we may release them, and a released number cannot be recovered. To keep a number, resume your plan before that date, or ask [email protected] to transfer (port) it to another provider before that date. Numbers you own and forward to us stay yours.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will tell you about changes that matter by email or in your account at least 30 days before they apply. If you keep using Nolan after that, the new terms apply. If you do not accept them, you can close your account before they apply.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the state where your business has its principal place of business, and by the federal laws of the United States that apply there. Any dispute about them goes to the state or federal courts of that state.

General

These terms, your plan and our data processing agreement are the whole agreement between us about Nolan. If part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. We may transfer these terms as part of a merger or sale; you may not transfer them without our written consent. Neither of us is liable for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control.
